Job Summary
The job holder will support the accounting and operational functions by maintaining the books of accounts for entities/ locations assigned, perform month-end closings, accounting analysis and reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation and involvement in various other financial & operational activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Accounting or finance degree, preferably with a recognised accountancy qualification.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience.
- Team player, hardworking and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to schedule priorities and multi-tasking.
- Willingness to access additional responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
- Liaise and collate source documents from various locations/ entities assigned, verify them for accuracy and authenticity and record transactions systematically.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals and control accounts.
- Prepare and maintain various schedules, reconciliations and other accounting records as required and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
- Exercise control over expenses on the locations/ entities assigned.
- Assist in accounts payable functions.
- Assist in preparation of budgets for locations/ entities assigned and perform variance analysis.
- Perform various regular/ ad-hoc analysis.
- Actively participate in audits and provide the necessary support to auditors.
- Respond to other accounting & reporting/ operational requests.
