Job Summary
Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for creating job packages from work order scopes that include all information about required labor, material, tools and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work. The planner must be able to visualize basic process equipment, use computer skills in M.S Office, be proficient in Maintenance software to retrieve data, develop job package, develop/manage archived plans and templates, demonstrates proficiency in use to find all relevant information like procedures, specifications etc., recognize safety measures and recommend improvements.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians and other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Track and manage work orders, ensuring all tasks are documented and completed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Coordinate spare parts requirements with Material Controller and ensure availability of necessary materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors as required for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics.
- Assist in the development of cost estimates and cost control measures.
- Provide training and support to maintenance staff on best practices and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to address equipment issues and improvements.
Education
Bachelor of Civil or Electrical Engineer
