Job Summary

Assistant Store Manager takes accountability for the day to day running of the store, and in the Store Manager’s absence. Ensures that all tasks are completed to deliver great coffee to our customers at all time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the team on shift to deliver the best coffee experience to every guest
  • Manage the stock and order systems for food and consumables ensuring that the store has all supply of items for the customer
  • Ensure all cash and store are kept secure
  • Ensure the store is opened and closed – adhering to all Costa standards, policies & procedures
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction – completing all relevant Costa Check, standards, food & health and safety checks
  • Train and coach team members as required to support them in delivering their roles effectively
  • Communicate on daily basis with the team
  • Deal with and resolve customer complaints in line with company policy/ procedures
  • Monitor the Store KPI reports and take daily action as required
  • Support the Store Manager in organizing and delivering team meetings
  • Implement marketing updates and new POS as directed by the Store Manager
  • Complete team member one to ones as directed by the Store Manager
  • Ensure effective control of labour and that every team member is deployed in an appropriate manner
  • Take initiative to develop store sales & involve in local store marketing
  • Perform all tasks as defined in the Barista and Barista Maestro’s Job Descriptions
  • Support store management team to deliver the annual budget and KPIs
