JOB SUMMARY:

 

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales & Business Analyst will analyze market trends, customer behavior, and sales performance within the freight forwarding industry. The role requires a combination of analytical skills, sales insight, and industry knowledge to support the sales team in identifying opportunities for growth, optimizing pricing, and improving customer acquisition and retention. The Sales & Business Analyst will work closely with the sales and operations teams to provide data-driven insights that inform business decisions and drive the company’s growth.

 

JOB RESPONSIBIITIES:

 

 

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, emerging markets, and potential business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector.
  • Analyze competitors' offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to identify gaps and opportunities for the company.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on sales performance, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations to the sales team and management.
  • Evaluate and optimize pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor pricing, and customer willingness to pay.
  • Collaborate with the finance and sales teams to develop pricing models that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Assist the sales team in developing sales strategies, pitches, and proposals based on data-driven insights.
  • Provide the sales team with regular updates on market conditions, customer feedback, and sales performance.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure that sales strategies align with operational capabilities and customer service standards. Collaborate with internal departments (i.e.  Finance and Operations) to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Maintain and update sales databases and CRM systems with accurate and timely information.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Sales Manager and Operations Manager and other relevant stakeholders on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Preferably Kuwaiti National
  • Minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a sales analysis, business analysis, or a similar role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as CRM and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers.
  • Well-versed in freight forwarding operations, including land, air, and sea transport, with a solid understanding of industry terminologies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in pricing strategy development and market analysis within the logistics or freight forwarding sector.
