Job Profile:

The Compliance Auditor is primarily responsible for the delivery of one or more concurrent investigation assignments throughout the Group’s various Business Units both in Kuwait and overseas.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Under the direction of the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Auditor delivers assigned investigations or parts of assigned investigations in accordance with departmental procedures. Specifically, under adequate supervision, the Compliance Auditor executes test plans for investigations and may interview suspects along with his / her supervisor and summarize findings which may include recommendations.
  • Prepares works papers documenting the purpose, scope, findings, and conclusions for review by his / her supervisor in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Prepares lists of required information for the investigations and obtains the approval of his / her supervisor prior to liaising with BUs operations management, Finance and Group Control Departments’ personnel for support to obtain information relevant to the cases.
  • Updates his / her supervisor on the status and progress of the investigations or parts of the investigations assigned to him / her and seeks guidance as appropriate to maintain a high quality of work.
  • Prepares points for inclusion in draft investigation reports and discusses with his / her supervisor for guidance as needed.
  • Detailing all findings in a factually correct manner, paying attention to the context of the investigation.
  • May participate in assigned fraud risk awareness and assessment activities.
  • Assists in the detection and prevention of fraud, sharing avoidance strategies and helping to create a centre of fraud prevention excellence.
  • Raising fraud awareness and encouraging others to report incidents of fraud or concerns in accordance with the Group’s Policy for the prevention and reporting of fraud.
  • May be assigned to handle Fraud Hotline activities, including the receipt and logging hotline calls in both English and Arabic.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate in Accounting, Finance, Psychology, Sociology or Criminology or a qualified accountant such as CPA, CA, CMA or ACCA, CFE
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with 1 years of compliance, investigation, accounting, finance, or audit experience
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, IIA Audit Standards, ACFE Standards
  • Good understanding of corporate governance requirements
  • Internal control documentation & evaluation
  • Investigative techniques and practices
  • Knowledge of Arabic
