Driver - Heavy

Job Summary

Reporting to the supervisor, driver is responsible for ensuring that all the products are delivered to respective destinations in a timely manner and in order with proper documentation. Also, responsible for representing the company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
• Responsible for proper loading and securing of freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport. Assist in loading and unloading as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation (records and logs of movements) and to check items and documentation wherever necessary.
• In addition to trips, perform daily safety and maintenance checks during handover as well as responsible for minor repairs whilst on job as required.
• Keep the truck clean at all times.
• Ensure trucks and equipment is safely and securely stored at all times along with the items withheld.
• Responsible for the crew (requisites and safety) in transit and is the pick and drop for the teams allocated.
• To speak to customers both internal and external in a pleasing manner and ensure that customer requisites are met with utmost professionalism.
• To touch base with CS and HFQC and delivery desk teams for any on field trouble shooting.
• To provide proper feedback of the day to the concerned office staff along with proper acknowledgments from the concerned.
• Advise the Supervisor of any requirements of either himself or for the team

Candidate Requirements

• The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: 
  • Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
  • Knowledge of record keeping system
  • Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
