Job Summary

The Facilities Engineer supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance activities in their assigned facility or area, ensuring optimal functioning of services and operations provided in building properties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities in the assigned facility or area, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Oversee installation, inspections, repairs, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechnaical & electrical systems.
  • Develop and enforce preventive maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire safety), ensuring reliability and minimizing downtime.
  • Oversee renovations, installations, and infrastructure upgrades, including managing contractors and vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Track and manage service requests using applicable systems, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Liaise with business units, contractors, and maintenance teams to accomplish facility requirements and project deliverables.
  • Execute facility-related projects such as renovations, installations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Coordinate and monitor works performed by contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure business satisfaction with facility management services, responding promptly to requests and implementing improvements to enhance customer experience.
  • Manage and monitor maintenance contracts for mechanical/electrical utilities and services, ensuring proper validation and renewal.
  • Maintain logs of  maintenance activities, facility documentation, and up-to-date drawings ; conduct walkthroughs with official authorities when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (preferred) or any other engineering degree.
  • Certifications in facility management or project management (e.g., PMP, IFMA , MEFMA) are added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office .
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools is desirable.
  • 1-3 years experience in facility management or engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building services engineering, facility operations, and project execution processes.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Good presentation and stakeholder management skills.
