Job Summary
The IT Business Partner (Supply Chain) acts as the strategic liaison between the Supply Chain business unit and IT. The role ensures that technology solutions enable and accelerate business goals across warehousing, logistics, demand planning and fulfillment — driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a multi-country retail and eCommerce environment
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Partnership & Strategy
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for Supply Chain leadership.
- Translate business strategies into IT initiatives and roadmaps.
- Collaborate on long-term technology planning aligned to corporate and supply chain goals (inventory accuracy, fulfillment speed, cost-to-serve reduction).
- Drive value realization from ERP, WMS, OMS, ecommerce and logistics systems.
2. Solution & Delivery Management
- Partner with Enterprise Architects, Project Managers, and AMS teams to deliver scalable solutions for warehouse automation, logistics, and inventory visibility.
- Prioritize and manage the Supply Chain IT portfolio, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Oversee integration of supply chain systems (ERP, SAP, WMS, TMS, Fluent Commerce, Boomi, etc.).
- Ensure change management and business readiness for all system rollouts.
3. Process Optimization & Innovation
- Identify digital opportunities — automation, AI/ML forecasting, and IoT for warehouse and logistics optimization.
- Lead process simplification and digitization initiatives in procurement, inbound/outbound logistics, and replenishment.
- Champion the use of data and analytics to improve supply chain KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, OTIF, lead times).
4. Governance & Performance
- Establish clear KPIs for IT service delivery and project execution within Supply Chain.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and audit requirements.
- Partner with AMS teams for incident management, SLA tracking and continuous improvement.
- Support annual IT budgeting and cost optimization for supply chain technology.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted relationships with Supply Chain heads, Distribution Center managers, and logistics partners.
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to align priorities.
- Communicate project status, risks, and business impact effectively to leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred from premium institute).
- 10–15 years of experience in IT within retail, eCommerce, FMCG, or logistics domain.
- Proven experience with ERP, TMS and WMS platforms (Oracle, SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, etc.).
- At least one end to end implementation of WMS preferably SAP.
- Exposure to integration platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.) and data analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes: warehousing, logistics, replenishment, and planning.
- Experience in managing multi-country or regional retail environments is a plus
