Internship Overview

The Logistics & Shipping Operations intern will support the Logistics team in coordinating shipment activities, freight bookings, shipping documentation, and tracking processes. The role offers hands-on exposure to international logistics, transportation planning, freight management, and supply chain operations. The trainee will work closely with the Scheduling, Freight, and Documentation teams to gain practical experience and develop a strong foundation in logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Scheduling Team to assist in preparing and executing dispatch plans under the guidance of the Assistant Manager – Logistics.
• Coordinate with appointed freight agents on freight inquiries, negotiations, and shipment bookings under the supervision of the Senior Freight Analyst.
• Learn and support the preparation of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and related export/import documents.
• Follow up on loading arrangements to ensure timely shipment execution.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely shipping documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide status updates for shipment tracking reports.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and logistics data.
• Assist with logistics reporting, documentation control, and operational coordination activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Logistics and Supply Chain function.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Logistics Management Team.

Candidate Requirements

• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA), Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, and supply chain operations.
• Basic understanding of shipping processes and logistics operations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and build a career in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
