Job Summary
Overseeing safety activities during a specific shift or work period. Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed, preventing accidents and incidents. Responding to emergencies, conducting safety inspections, and providing guidance to maintain a safe working environment.
To ensure ‘Zero Accidents’ and no damage to Company’s property through Safety Management. Ensure safety procedures and systems are maintained and enforced.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead safety activities and enforce safety protocols during the designated shift.
• Ensure regular rounds/ proper liaisoning with workmen & staff for compliance of safe work practices.
• Ensure that all workers wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while working
• Conduct safety inspections of the work area, equipment, and tools to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to safety incidents, accidents, or emergencies promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate emergency response and provide first aid if necessary.
• Conduct safety briefings at the beginning of each shift.
• Maintain accurate records of safety activities, including incident reports, safety inspection findings, and safety training records.
• Ensure that safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and safety showers, is maintained and in good working condition.
• Address safety violations and non-compliance promptly and effectively.
• To ensure :
o All incidents are captured and analyzed and actions are planned and taken to prevent recurrence.
o Communicate safety information, updates, and concerns to team members and report safety issues to safety in charge / Head as necessary.
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge :
• Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Knowledge on applicable Regulatory & mandatory requirements on Occupational health & safety.
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident reporting
• Understanding of various safety equipment and their proper usage, such as personal protective equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, and safety showers
• ability to identify potential safety hazards and assess their severity.
• Conversant with OHSAS 18001
• Basic exposure to all Engineering processes / procedures covered for PEB / structural fabrication industry.
• Basic / working knowledge of ‘Risk Assessment’ is a MUST.
• Good Training abilities on Occupational health & Safety.
• Working exposure with ISO 9001, are preferable.
• Good command on languages Hindi & English.
