Job Summary

Manage the demand planning process by forecasting and planning future orders based on historical data, promotions, seasonality etc. and aggressively tracking supplier shipments, prioritizing containers at port and managing demurrage effectively. Also to keep Purchasing Plan updated with any changes in Receipts.

Job Responsibilities

•    Order tracking with suppliers 3 to 4 weeks prior to shipment date
•    Continuous follow-up with suppliers to get the stock on time
•    On-time delivery report with analysis of shipments on-time and shipments which would be delayed and the impact of delayed shipments
•    Updating Purchase Plans with any changes in receipts
•    Item Wise Planning to be done along with the buying team to forecast future sales and future order receipts
•    Proactively alerting buying team and department heads when there are order delays
•    Preparation of seasonal trackers – pre Ramadan orders, Garden orders etc. to ensure stock availability prior to launch
•    Manage prioritization of shipments and interact with SCM team to prioritize clearance from port
•    Preparation of Demurrage tracker and highlighting to DP Manager on the shipments under demurrage and detention
 

Candidate Requirements

•    Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience of stock management preferably in a retail merchandising environment.
•    Thorough working knowledge of retail procurement in both local and overseas markets.
•    Good proficiency in developing reports and providing insights to the business
•    Positive attitude with a ‘can do’ approach when working under pressure or to tight deadlines.
•    Able to work with other support functions, being a team player
•    Excellent communication skills 
•    Well-developed analytical, reasoning and data interpretation skills
•    Strong skills in MS office especially MS Excel
