Job Summary

The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for the management of multi-showrooms.The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that showrooms within his/her area are generating sales and profitability to meet pre-set business targets, s/he will be accountable for effective store operations, and s/he will be responsible for ensuring efficient manpower planning, recruitment, and learning and development. In addition, the Area Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that each of his/her multi-showrooms are providing best-in-class customer service.

Job Responsibilities

•    Conduct periodic multi store visits with structured rotation across relevant stores utilizing Stor IQ high impact + detailed management checklists, time in market estimated at 75% 
    Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance multi-stores performance, including objectives + talent plan for direct reports / lead monthly manager meeting for relevant stores 
    Enhance and improve sales performance of all stores under remit, including KPIs such as credit, X care, Accessories performance (value + ratio %s) 
    Target setting monthly for relevant stores / KPI + exception review 
    Review weekly / daily marketing communications to ensure store understanding + implementation 
    Regular review of relevant competition activity with structured feedback to relevant teams 
    Participation in weekly senior leadership trading meeting 
    Responsible for driving training agenda + needs / implementation with head office training team as well as localized in house initiatives 
    Provide support for Sr./Showroom Managers when/ if required. 
    Responsible for review + improvement of trends in NPS + Mystery shopping scores  
    Responsible for ensuring team diversity in hiring approach (gender / nationality) and team building initiatives to increase engagement / retention 
    Responsible for staff performance through coaching and mentoring and implementation of; assessing employees’ development and ensuring sound mystery shopper results. 
    Responsible for store financial control (P&L, shrinkage targets, cash management, store inventory). 
    Responsible for store appearance (Layouts, merchandising, planogram implementation, in store branding and POS material).
    Build strong working relationships with category, marketing, supply chain, finance, online and facilities support teams 
    Engagement with all digital change initiatives with leadership team + relevant functions 
    Build strong working relationships with business partners store (head office + stores) 
 

Candidate Requirements

    6+ years' experience in the retail industry, specifically working within a Sales team.
    Experience leading store teams 
    Possess strong business acumen
    Possess strong communicational verbal and written skills
    Possess strong managerial abilities 
    High levels of resilience + drive 
    Can build and maintain strong peer relationships and can excel in cross-functional projects and assignments.
    Familiar with retail operations applications such as StorIQ / iRex / SAP / Business Objects / Tableau
    Bilingual (Arabic & English)
