Safety Officer

Job Summary:

The Safety Officer support the safety activities throughout AI businesses, inspect work areas, equipment etc. to ensure compliance with company’s as well as ministry’s safety policies and regulations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor site specific safety and health aspects
  • Ensure personal protective equipment are being used in work places according to safety regulations
  • Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company’s safety policies
  • Inspect fire suppression systems and portable fire equipment/ extinguishers to ensure that they are in good working condition and needy to be use as and when needed
  • Conduct inspection for first aid medicines in locations and supply as required
  • Document safety audits, cite dangerous areas and recommend corrective procedures
  • Oversee the fire system maintenance  activities in all facilities
  • Maintain logs of safety activities in all facilities
  • Coordinate fire license inspections
  • Coordinate to accomplish safety requirements in each facilities liaising with Facilities’ supervisors
  • Delivering safety training courses
  • Conducting safety evacuation drills

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good communication skills in English – Verbal & Written (Arabic an advantage)
  • Knowledge in safety procedures and standards
  • Relevant experience in safety field
  • Good Team Work
  • Good Presentation Skills
  • Valid Kuwait Driving License
  • Preferred Kuwaiti Nationals

 

Education:

  • Graduate / Diploma in any discipline
  • Certifications in Safety  related courses
  • Knowledge of MS Office solutions (Excel, Word, Power point)
