Job Summary

The Sales Channel Manager – Coops Channel is responsible for developing, managing, and growing GTRC’s business within the Cooperative Societies (Coops) channel in Kuwait. The role focuses on driving sales performance, strengthening relationships with Coop management, ensuring effective execution of trade plans, and achieving volume, value, and profitability targets in line with company strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for the Coops channel in line with GTRC’s commercial objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing and new Coop accounts to expand distribution, visibility, and market share.
  • Prepare annual channel plans, sales forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company targets.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets (volume, value, distribution, and profitability) for the Coops channel.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure effective implementation of promotions, pricing strategies, and trade activities across all Coop outlets.  
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Coop management, buyers, and key decision-makers.
  • Lead negotiations on listings, promotions, discounts, and commercial agreements within approved guidelines.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any operational or commercial issues promptly. 
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Coops sales team (Sales Supervisors, Sales Representatives, Merchandisers).
  • Set clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure the team complies with company policies, sales processes, and ethical standards. 
  • Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and shelf presence in Coop stores.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution of sales and promotional plans.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimize out-of-stock situations, and manage returns or slow-moving items. 
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, performance reviews, and market insights to senior management.
  • Track competitor activity and market dynamics within the Coops channel and recommend strategic actions.
  •  Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales data, forecasts, and KPIs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 6–8 years of sales experience in FMCG, with strong exposure to the Coops channel in Kuwait. 
  • Proven experience in managing Coops and leading sales teams
  • Solid understanding of Coop structures, policies, and commercial practices in Kuwait.
