Job Summary

Lead and track competition moves, promotions, product highlights and plan proactively with fellow merchandisers on promotion and visibility. Manage merchandising strategy in order to drive conversion and sales through online merchandising strategies and execution with a strong analytical approach

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of merchandisers and manage revenue and margin goals to drive sustainable business growth.
  • Daily engagement with team to evaluate top/bottom selling styles and refine go-forward plan for site and marketing content
  • Assists, reviews and provide insights to the team of merchandisers on daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s
  • Daily analysis of web sales to identify gaps/trends and collaborate with stakeholders to maximize sales
  • Effective and regular competition monitoring of category KVI's in terms price/promotions and initiating quick counter actions
  • Responsible for display of products on website, in such a way that stimulates interest and entices customers to make a purchase
  • Work with key stakeholders to guide, design and execute exclusive online promotions / replication of in-store promotions
  • Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, tracking, and measuring the success of such promotions
  • Optimize the use of existing site features: site search tools, product recommendation software, product videos, side by side product comparisons, enhanced visualization tools, reviews and ratings etc.
  • Focused on site productivity; getting maximum product engagement, conversion and sales per order.
  • Collaborative in improvising site design, new features & tools, marketing offers and product mix.
  • Managing CMS / static pages created for special highlights and merchandising
  • Ensure that the existing product catalogue is up to date with the latest released products, best-selling models, seasonal rotation and the marketing calendar
  • Find and contribute fixing possible bugs appearing on the existing product catalogue
  • Monitor and ensure web assets are appealing and in line with website guidelines
  • Evaluate success and returns of email marketing, message notifications and marketing communications

  • Bilingual skills preferred (English & Arabic)

Functional:

  • Excel and Reporting (Intermediate level): Good knowledge of excel and good reporting skills
  • Data Driven (Intermediate level): Who can deep dive into available data and suggest trends and forecast sales
  • Magento (Beginner – Intermediate level): Hands-on experience with Magento. Knowledge of Business Objects, SAP, CRM preferred
  • Site Analytics (Beginner – Intermediate level): To analyse on site customer behaviour and to better cater their expectations
  • Search Analytics and SEO (Intermediate level – Expert Level): To maximize search behaviour of customers both on-site and off-site

Other:

  • Certification: Google Analytics, SEO, Digital marketing etc.
  • 3-4 years  Online merchandising or buying background - Commercially aware with sales focus to help maximize conversion and cross selling
  • Up to Date with latest trends and understand the challenges and opportunities of digital commerce.
  • Good Industry Knowledge: Latest Products, Global Market, Competition etc.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
