Sr. Underwriting Supervisor - Property & Casualty

Job Summary

This role is responsible for supervising the underwriting team, managing complex risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks. The Senior Underwriter Supervisor ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and reinsurance treaty requirements, while also providing guidance and training to junior staff members to enhance their skills and performance.

Job Responsibilities

Assist the AM in day to day underwriting decisions and issuance
• provide Coaching for team Members 
• Process quotations  as per the treaty guidelines  and follow the quotations process 
• Making sure that the department is adhering with External and Internal SLA’s.
• Explain Policy terms and the actual application of exclusions to both the providers and clients
• Ensure quotations delivered for the various proposals
• Communicate with Reinsurers on best deals for various products
• Take charge to deliver timed monthly and quarterly reports / closing 
• Error free quotations 
• Building relationships with existing channels in securing new accounts 

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
• Professional certification in insurance (minimum Cert CII or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in the insurance industry, including at least 5 years in the Property & Casualty line of business.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical decision-making roles under structured supervision.
• Strong relationship-building and leadership skills, with a sound understanding of policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
• Fluency in Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, with attention to detail.
